Firenze Atelier
Created in collaboration with a Florence-based cultural platform dedicated to supporting independent creative activity within the city, this series documents an early period of atelier life during the years surrounding the development of the MYA ROYAL studio in Firenze. Photographed inside the working environment itself, the images capture a practice still in formation yet already deeply rooted in material experimentation, garment construction, textile research, and the quiet rhythms of daily studio work. Rather than presenting a polished commercial fashion narrative, the photographs reveal a more intimate atmosphere: fabrics suspended between processes, evolving collections, fragments of objects and tools, and the presence of a designer gradually constructing both a visual language and a way of life within the historic fabric of Florence. Seen today, the series functions not only as a portrait of a particular atelier and moment in time, but also as part of a larger creative ecosystem that continues to shape the city’s independent cultural landscape.
